RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star A’Whora has announced a new role.
The queen is set to host The Only Way Is Essex‘s new spin-off show.
Posting a glammed-up snap on her Instagram, A’Whora wrote: “ITS OFFICIAL!!!! IM YOUR NEW HOST OF @towie’s spin off show ‘dragged out’!
“I’ll be talking with all your favourite cast members getting all the tea, juicy gossip and behind the scenes secrets every week!”
TOWIE‘s Instagram also wrote of the show: “Why hello @awhora, fancy seeing you here.
“Wednesdays just got glam as A’Whora delves into the biggest and juiciest #TOWIE stories of the week – with the cast!
“Dresses and drinks at the ready, the first episode of TOWIE: Dragged Out drops tonight on IGTV and YouTube.”
The show saw A’Whora getting all the gossip from Chloe Sims, Nicole Bass, James ‘Diags’ Bennewith and newcomer Rem Larue.
Fans praised the “super fun” show as being enjoyable to watch.
A’Whora narrowly missed out on a place in the Top 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, after failing to impress the judges with her very blue comedy routine.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy after her exit, she spoke about how her exit was edited on the reality show.
“I wasn’t happy with the edit of this episode, to be honest,” she told us.
“I did a longer exit line. I came back, and did a whole thing, and it wasn’t used. They also didn’t use me having a heart to heart with Ellie Diamond.
“I was talking to her. She’s crying. I’m holding her hands. We’re talking about everything.”
She added: “There’s some key things that can really change the way that people perceive you and react online, just from having that one 10-second clip.
“But we can’t blame the editing. We signed up to do this. We agreed to the show, and it’s just part of the process. We roll with it. We can’t fit everything from the 48 hours into a one hour episode, you know? It’s the facts.”
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK series 2 is available to watch Thursday evenings on BBC Three (on iPlayer). In the US, you can watch the show on WOW Presents Plus.
Netflix also premieres new episodes of the US series weekly. In the US, season 13 is airing on Friday nights at 8pm ET on VH1.
